Perfect LOVE

Family Update, a letter to friends and family

Adoption has been on our hearts for some time, we talked about it before we got married, we always thought it was something we would eventually do. Since we moved to Kansas City and started to pray the prayer; " Jesus, we plead YOUR blood over our sins and the sins of our nation, God end abortion and send revival to America" our desire to adopt has intensified. We believe if the Church want's to see the ending of abortion it needs to become the answer to unwanted babies. Just to make things clear adoption is not a means by which to increase our family (after 3 children in our first 4 years of our marriage it's pretty clear that we have no issues with fertility), its an issue of justice. To us, adoption is a response to Christ's command to care for the widow and the orphan. "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you." James 1:27 "...anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me." Matthew 18:5 Adoption is on God's heart, He is the Father to the fatherless and he fights for them, and we want to partner with His heart. " You are the helper of the fatherless Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear, to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, That the man of the earth may oppress no more." Psalm 10:14,17-18 From the beginning our plans looked something like this... 1) Get married 2) Have all the biological children that God has for us 3) Have at least 25,000$ in savings so we can fund our adoption without asking anybody for help 4) Have all of our children get a little older so it can be easier on us and we can relax a little more But.... our plan didn't exactly match God's plan. In the winter of 2012 I( Christina) had a dream. In my dream I was shown a certain economic and political condition in United States (I can't go in to details but it was specifically related to the upcoming elections). In a second part of the same dream I was given shoes, in my dream I knew that they belonged to Abraham Lincoln. These shoes didn't look comfortable, on the bottom of the shoes there was a phrase that said: "The last time you lived for yourself was in the past" As I was putting the shoes on I was shown our current family's economic situation (we didn't have any savings). After this I was transferred into a room that looked like a court room and I was holding a newborn baby boy in my hands and was looking at the clock. When I woke up I felt that the dream was prophetic and significant but I didn't know how to interpret it correctly. Until the Spring of 2012, when we as a family went to the Esther Call in Dallas to pray for the ending of Abortion and crying out for God's mercy over America. As I was standing, tending to my baby's in the heat of the Texan sun, I overheard Lou Engle cry out these words: "Lord, let this generation be like Abraham Lincoln, that brings an end to abortion in America!" And all of the sudden I remembered my dream and it became clear what it meant. I was given the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, the US president who emancipated the slaves. God was asking us to deny living for ourself, leave that in the past and fight on behalf of justice for the unborn by adopting a baby! We know based on our dream, that we will be adopting a baby boy. So as a result of all of this we have decided to say YES to His plan! Even though we haven't come close to completing everything we planned, but we agree that He knows better than we do and He is writing our story! Are we excited? Yes! Do we know how in the world it's going to work? NO we do not, all we know for certain is that the time is NOW! We have compete peace in our hearts about the whole situation. We also feel aligned with his will in our hearts and have the urgency to start the process as soon as possible. We have contacted the adoption consultant that is going to be working with us and on our behalf with different adoption agencies. Our next step is to raise 3,100$ by July 31st to cover the cost of the initial fees and to pay for our home study. Saving a life is costly, God gave his own LIFE to ransom us. “The ransom for a life is costly” psalm 49:8 Would you pray with us and consider supporting us financially in this journey. Especially in meeting our current goal. We know that every single life is worth it. We are excited and are full of anticipation to see God's Glory through this. Sincerely Christina and Alex Savenok
